COVID-19 Effect on Meetings
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the chapter's annual summer social event at Coca Cola Park for an Ironpig's baseball game, scheduled this year for July 2, has been canceled. The Ironpigs have been asked to hold the deposit so a date can be picked for the 2021 season when the schedule becomes available. A decision whether or not to cancel the chapter's Sept. 17 meeting will be made by early August. The fate of the chapter's annual meeting and Toys for Tots event, scheduled for Nov. 19, will be decided sometime in the Fall. The September and November meetings are the chapter's last two meetings of the year. STAY TUNED TO THIS WEBSITE FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
Who We Are
Our mission is to foster fraternal relations among retired, active, reserve, and former officers of the uniformed services; to protect the rights and interests of personnel of the uniformed services and their dependents and survivors; to provide useful services for members and their dependents and survivors, and to serve our community, our Commonwealth and our country. Our members - currently serving and former officers and warrant officers of the uniformed services, including National Guard and Reserve members - hail from Lehigh and Northampton counties and the counties adjacent to them.
We work with Congress and the Pennsylvania legislature on issues affecting the career force, the retired community and veterans of the uniformed services.
As an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and as a Pennsylvania recognized non-profit organization, our chapter advocates issues but does not support any political party or the election or defeat of any political candidate. We actively support the Lehigh Valley’s active and reserve component military service members, its veterans, and their families by sponsoring fund raising and other supportive activities.
